The Forest School campsite is ideally located right next to Lake Bohinj, thus offering excellent conditions for organizing all sorts of camps, educational programs or adventure-filled family getaways. The campsite operates from mid-May until the end of September and can accommodate guests in 33 deluxe tents featuring comfortable wooden beds.
The tents are set up in three sub-camps with one multipurpose tent for hosting workshops allocated for each camp. The workshop tent is outfitted with electrical outlets and lighting.
The campsite provides three daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Campsite guests can use the dining hall and terrace in the chalet by the campsite.
The chalet by the campsite has spacious washing facilities with a washroom, toilets and showers with hot water.
The campsite has a paved volleyball court with added basketball hoops. There is a central campfire in the middle of the campsite, perfect for entertaining scout evenings. Forest School also offers a number of scout adventures to undertake on your own or accompanied by a guide.
There are many possibilities for various activities around Forest School. In the summer, the lake is perfect for swimming and other water activities. The campsite is a great starting point for hiking trips around Triglav National Park. The Vogel Ski Center is also close by and a year-round cable car takes you 1000 m above the lake. The area is also excellent for bouldering, cycling, canoeing, canyoning or rafting. Nearby landmarks include Savica Fall, Zlatorog’s Fairy Land and many other Bohinj attractions.
