Start your summer with a sports or research camp in the pristine nature of Triglav National Park, on a forest clearing only a few meters from Lake Bohinj. In addition to accommodation and food, the Bohinj Scout Center also offers a number of adventurous program contents.
The Forest School campsite in the Bohinj Scout Center lies in the heart of the Julian Alps. The location is only a few meters away from Lake Bohinj and is ideal for organizing spring, summer or autumn camps. The combination of the chalet and the campsite with wooden-bed tents offers everything you need to have the perfect summer camp experience.
The Scout chalet has 46 dormitory-style beds in eight rooms. The chalet also features a large multipurpose dining hall/classroom, a large club room, a smaller classroom, and a terrace. The classroom offers audio-visual equipment, a large projection screen, and internet access. The chalet also has a professionally fitted kitchen that can provide healthy and tasty meals even for larger groups. There is also a large washroom, toilets, and showers with hot water.
The objects at the Forest School campsite are erected from May until the end of September and can accommodate 66 adults or 99 children. The camp is divided into three sub-camps; each of them has its own multipurpose tent for hosting workshops. Each of these accommodates up to 40 participants.
The campsite provides three daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The staff in the modern and professionally equipped kitchen serves healthy and tasty meals even for larger groups. Campsite guests can utilize the dining hall and the terrace of the chalet next to the campsite.
The chalet by the campsite has spacious washing facilities with a washroom, toilets, and showers with hot water. There is also a smaller bathroom on the first floor for guests staying at the chalet.
The campsite has a paved volleyball court with added basketball hoops. There is a central campfire in the middle of the campsite, perfect for entertaining scout evenings.

Forest School also offers a number of scout adventures to undertake on your own or accompanied by a guide.
There are many possibilities for various activities around Forest School. In the summer, the lake is perfect for swimming and other water activities. The campsite is a great starting point for hiking trips around Triglav National Park. The Vogel Ski Center is also close by and a year-round cable car takes you 1000 m above the lake. Nearby landmarks include Savica Fall, Zlatorog’s Fairy Land and many other Bohinj attractions.
