The Forest School lies in an idyllic spot in the heart of the Julian Alps, only a few meters from Lake Bohinj, next to the Naklova Glava beach. Nearby are the lower station of the popular Vogel ski center cable car, Zlatorog’s Fairy Land, Savica Fall and many other Bohinj landmarks. This prime location has been the main national educational center for Slovenian scouts for over 70 years and has now also become a popular holiday spot for families and groups who want to explore the unspoiled nature.
Forest School is a scout chalet with 46 dormitory-style beds in eight rooms. There are also two bathrooms, a large multipurpose space (dining hall/classroom), an additional smaller classroom, a large club room, and a terrace at your disposal. The chalet is equipped with audio-visual equipment, a large projection screen, and internet access. The professionally outfitted kitchen in the chalet has everything necessary for quickly preparing healthy meals even for larger groups.
From mid-May to late September, the chalet is part of the Forest School campsite and also admits individual guests.
During the low season from October to mid-May, the house is only available to organized groups with a prior reservation.
